Essay / Abortion is Murder - 1197
Since 1973, when it was legalized, abortion has been one of the most controversial ethical issues in America. In the case of Roe v. Wade, the Supreme Court came to the conclusion that women have a right to privacy, which includes the right to abortion. This decision has sparked much controversy and millions of people across America protest against abortion every year. Abortion is an operation or other procedure to end a pregnancy by removing an embryo or fetus from the uterus. Since its ratification, more than forty-eight million unborn children have been killed by abortion in the United States since Roe v. Wade (Abortion in the United States). With abortion banned, these lives could have been saved and given the chance to live. Abortion is a form of murder, which is why it must be abolished. Additionally, abortion can also cause harmful side effects, both physical and psychological. Finally, thousands of families are waiting to adopt both healthy babies and disabled children. So there is no reason for women to abort. In the case of the mother's health, abortion is not justified because it could cause as much harm as the birth itself. Abortion can never be validated and must therefore be abolished for the following reasons: it is a form of murder, it causes both physical and psychological effects and adoption is always possible. Abortion is a form of murder because human life is always being lost. In 2008 alone, approximately 1.21 million abortions took place in the United States (medical testimony). Sadly, this means that 1.21 million innocent babies have been unjustly murdered. The law is clearly in force...... middle of paper...... Unfiltered abortion.
