It is therefore imperative to focus on these intra-state and inter-state conflicts to achieve peace and ultimately a successful resolution of these issues. Following such a conflict, the need for peacekeeping appears obvious. The real effectiveness of peacekeeping is a subject addressed by all the authors. Peacekeeping can be an effective tool when used correctly and provided with adequate resources and support. By proving its effectiveness, successes and failures can be used to show how best to use it and the effects of transforming unstable post-war regions into peaceful ones. The size, number and scope of peacekeeping missions around the world have increased significantly in recent decades. . Across the world, international personnel have been deployed to maintain peace in war-torn regions.
