Many factors inspired me in this career choice. Watching my teachers, past and present, inspired me to become a teacher. I have a genuine interest in lifelong learning and as such have a desire to not only instill knowledge and values ​​in others but also encourage them to share my passion for learning. Social justice and my leadership roles at school, as well as my extra-curricular involvement with the Cowra Youth Council, have highlighted my ability to work with and for the benefit of young people. Essentially, I know that my abilities and aspirations will make me a good teacher. My motivation also comes from watching my parents, my mother and father are employed as primary and secondary school teachers respectively in public schools. Also on my mother's side, her parents both worked in secondary education.
