  • Essay / Grid Computing: What is Grid Computing? - 1686

This is a standardized protocol that transfers multiple bitstreams of data synchronously over an optical fiber using lasers or highly coherent light from light-emitting diodes (LEDs) . Resource Layer The resources gathered from different locations are stored in the resource layer. So the resource layer consists of computers, storage systems, electronic data catalogs, and even sensors, such as telescopes or other types of sensors. In other words, it contains supercomputers, storage areas, servers and sensors. Since they all have to work together, they are all directly networked. Middleware Layer The middleware layer is the layer that connects all the components within a grid. It is software located between the operating system and the physical application software that can solve a particular problem. Basically, middleware provides the unified Grid environment. It is generally called the brain of the Grid, because it acts as a type of intelligence that merges the work of various elements.
