this is a moment where Zora shows her pride and her undeceptive beliefs. it was rumored that Lena and Spunk were going to get married. many didn't believe Sperm was the marriageable type, but Sperm got tired of people talking about Lena. It is here that Zora explains her mother-in-law's treatment and being kicked out of her home. made him feel like no one should remarry. Zora was very angry about this. later, there was talk of this bobcat around Lena and Spunk House. the bobcat screams, the spunk goes for his gun to shoot, but the bobcat looks straight at him. it makes the sperm very nervous. Zora wants revenge, so this is her way of saying that revenge will be mine. I'm not afraid of you anymore. Spunk clearly says that this black cat is Joe from Hell. the crowd now feels guilty about how they perceived Joe and mistreated him, and realizes that Joe was braver. Zora is trying to let the reader know that eventually, courage will be visible in a person in one way or another. Soon Sperm dies on the sawmill and as he was dying he says Joe pushed him. Lena is upset and mostly remorseful about it all.
