    A good example is when Marcus says that Obama "didn't want to say anything too harsh about Libya, for fear of endangering the Americans trapped there" (Marcus, paragraph 3) . This is a great example because it is an issue that stirs the emotions of many people living in America. It seems like Marcus is trying to make the audience sympathetic towards her every time she says, "I was unfair to Goolsbee because I asked him a question that he didn't have the latitude to answer" (Marcus , paragraph 14). Another great aspect of pathos in her article is found in paragraph fourteen where she uses vivid language such as: "dodging" and "when the boss is dodging." Marcus certainly succeeds in using pathos to appeal to his audience, but the article lacks too many facts and credibility. She made some very strong arguments, but due to the lack of facts to support her claims, the article is weak. As a writer, Marcus did a good job of convincing the audience to agree with her, but she was entirely too opinionated. Overall, this article was interesting and can be considered true to some extent because it is easy to convince and be convinced if someone speaks with enough authority or enthusiasm, but one must s interested in
