When we ask people, what is rhythm? The usual definition one might think of would be that of primary emphasis in music and poetry. It could also be defined as the act of harming or defeating someone. But rhythm isn't just about the flow of music or hitting another person. The beat is also a type of expression, whether it's in writing, music or art, it's about being free or having the freedom to do what you put your mind to. It’s all about disaffection and non-conformity. Beat is about being yourself and not being forced to conform to society's standards of living. Beat is about breaking boundaries, opening up and freeing yourself.
