  • Essay / Essay on Sports Versus Sports - 989

Even if a student is not part of a school sports team, they can still stay involved by attending games and matches. Students who don't participate in fine arts can attend their events, but they typically have fewer than ten events per year, while athletics has dozens. Fine arts-related events are also expensive to attend. Going to a play or musical can cost up to fifteen dollars for a student, and that's after the student discount. Sporting events are free most of the time, allowing students to attend without even having to think that it will cost them anything. In addition, sporting events are positive for focusing on social life. When a student attends a basketball game, they are likely to make new friends or interact with those around them. However, when a student attends a choir concert, they sit in silence for an hour or two with those around them. Making friends and learning to be social is a very important part of high school, and sports really help. Sports games can easily help students come out of their shells and meet new people.
