    The Code of Ethics is the professional conduct that governs the profession of social work. Each applicant licensed by the Commission must follow these rules of conduct whether or not providing services over the telephone, in person, and electronically. The Code of Ethics provides guidelines that protect the client, their colleagues and themselves from any unethical standards. One of the conducts referred to in the Code of Ethics is that as a social worker we have an ethical responsibility to the client we serve. As a social worker, we come into contact with clients facing an overabundance of social issues that can range from homelessness, abuse, mental health issues, and medical issues (which can include: prescriptions, health insurance and a attending physician).
