    September 11, 2001 marks the longest and most tragic day in American history. It started out like a normal morning, with kids waking up for school, people heading to work, and others just going for a morning run, like nothing was happening. Then all of a sudden, at 8:46 a.m., Flight 11 crashes into the North Tower of the World Trade Center in New York. There were 767 people on board and 20,000 gallons of jet fuel. It hit on the 80th floor out of 110 floors. Imagine hearing the sound of an explosion at work? At first, people thought it was just a poorly guided plane that had hit the top of the tower. Everyone was rushing out of their office buildings and trying to evacuate global commerce as quickly as possible. Some were told they didn't have to leave the second building because it was just a trick plane and everything was fine. Then at 9:03 a.m. a second plane hit the south tower. By then the news had been recorded, so everyone saw what was happening. People were running away and the streets were filled with people trying to leave. People all over the world were panicking because no one was really sure what had happened. After the second plane hit, they began searching for the flight and who was on board. While researching this, they started to recognize some names and they realized it was a terrorist attack. Involved with Alkyda because they recognized the names of the people who were on board the flights. Back when Bush was president of the United States, he was in Sarasota with a group of children listening to them read and learn at a local school. Bush had no idea the second plane had been hit because he was in that classroom, unable to answer phone calls. He had no idea what was happening. ...... middle of paper ...... and 9/11 was Khalid Mohammed. Mr. Mohammed was also responsible for 30 other tragic terrorist attacks and 9/11 was not the first. Mr. Mohammed was the top aide to Osama bin Laden, a top suspect in the September 11 attacks. Osama was still at the top of the United States' most wanted list. Osama was also behind the 1998 boom, which destroyed two embassies in Africa. The United States has searched for Osama for many years. In fact, it took 10 years to find and kill Osama and it was a great achievement for the United States. Today, September 11 is known as a very sad day when some people can walk around with flags and have a meal. and celebrations to remember and thank the men and women who lost their lives in the Empire State Building trying to save others and those who worked in the building and did not make it out , it is and always will be an important day in the Empire State Building. United States A story that still haunts all our lives.
