    The technological revolution of the 21st century has given rise to hundreds of companies, all seeking success in the information age. Some companies followed the trend while others failed. The success of many businesses relies on and is driven by the Internet. Google is a company whose name has become synonymous with any mention of the Internet. Google's technological reign is so pervasive that, according to "Business: The Enemies of Google," "In Silicon Valley, one of the first questions a potential investor asks a startup is: 'What would you do?' if Google moved into your space? “Google's clearly destined attitude towards the Internet and technological advancements in general allows it to maintain its market authority. Since the company's beginnings in 1996, Google has shaped the development of the Internet with a myriad of products and services designed to help both beginners and advanced users. Despite Google's household name status, the company was founded just over a decade ago. . In 1996, Stanford computer science graduate students Larry Page and Sergey Brin decided to create their own search engine. Following in the footsteps of tech giant Dell, the search engine was first run from their Stanford University dorm room. However, Stanford's servers quickly buckled under the pressure and Google's operations were moved to a Silicon Valley garage in Menlo Park. Shortly after transitioning to the garage office, the company's growth began to escalate, becoming too much for Page and Brin to handle. This required hiring Google's first eight employees, far too many for the small garage space.
