Essay / Personal Experience: Best Roles for Life
An inspiring role model is one of the key elements that has helped us become who we are today. For years, I kept a list of “best role models for life.” My parents, Anne Frank, Helen Keller, Mother Teresa, Martin Luther King Jr., Nick Vujicic, Walt Disney and many others are on the list. From time to time, I read books and articles about my role models to remind myself how to become a better person. There are thousands of studies focused on people like Mother Teresa and Martin Luther King Jr., but I'd like to share one of my favorite role models: Nick Vujicic. Vujicic is honestly one of the happiest people on the planet. He lives his life with joy despite the fact that he was born without limbs. He lives as if he had no limits; he accepted it as part of his life. In one of his books Life Without Limits: Inspiration for a Ridiculously Good Life, Vujicic inspires millions of readers with his real-life experiences. I never understood the true meaning of “life without limits” until reading this book: to live without limits, we must always have a positive attitude. No matter how difficult the obstacles we face, we are not alone and God will always be with us. Vujicic is an excellent role model. A positive role model inspires us in many ways. Their outstanding successes and the things they have accomplished are widely respected. These are ideal examples to admire; a good role model illustrates positive actions. Our observation makes us want to become better people. We learn from them and hope that one day we can become one of them. These are the positive models. Negative role models are not good examples to imitate; Yet they can provide us with practical wisdom in our approach. Many people assume that since... middle of paper ...... with our perseverance and belief, nothing is impossible. We all need a few role models to guide us on the right path, a good role model to illustrate good behavior and skills that people can emulate. Learning more from Vujicic has helped me better understand how to appreciate what I have. Decent role models can easily be found around us, they could be your family members, your neighbor, your teacher, your boss and even the homeless person you pass every day on your way to work. back. It doesn't have to be a famous person, it can be anyone you look up to, respect and look up to. I have always believed that good role models can influence us in many positive ways; they help us become a better person. Do you have a list of models you admire? Do you have a role model who encourages and motivates you when you are unhappy or lost??
