  • Essay / Creative Leadership: Methodology and Philosophy of Science

Methodology and Philosophy of ScienceIn this chapter I discuss which research methods are suitable for study and what is useful to use in response to the statement of problem that addresses creative leaders. in businesses. Additionally, in this chapter, I present the methods I used to find the information needed for the project. Thus, this part specifies the research methods I used, the data collection and the analysis of the data collected. Philosophy of Science The culture, appearance and behavior of all people in the world mainly depend on nationality and country. Therefore, their view of the world and the way they perceive it is different. As we all have different lives, different destinies, so many things, we create our own truth and we perceive our environment in a different way. As a one person group, I am a subjectivist and believe that everyone learns and gains knowledge from their experience, what kind of life they live and also how they interpret the information they have read, heard, etc. I recognize many truths and I take into account each person's opinion. Everyone has their opinion on everything, so I don't judge that other people's opinion is different from mine, I just accept it. Therefore, everyone perceives the world differently, whether in my interview or in the secondary data I collect. In addition, subjectivism is an epistemological theory (theory of knowledge), how everyone can achieve it. As I mentioned before subjectivism is that each person acquires knowledge from their feelings, emotions, ideas, etc. For this reason, everyone acquires a different understanding of the world and social life. Second advantage – the person I wanted to interview about creative leadership and the company they work for didn't need to plan our meeting, they were able to answer my questions whenever they wanted. Of course, the respondent is less likely to get a spontaneous answer to the question because they have more time to think about the answer. One of the downsides would be that I can't get enough information that might work for me. Because when you talk with a person, then you can ask more questions and for this reason you know more. Another disadvantage is that the interviewer, in this case me, may have to wait days or weeks for the interviewee to answer the questions. This also carries the risk that the person who should answer the questions forgets to answer..
