Essay / Personal Journal: This describes me - 524
While writing this article, I felt uncomfortable. I asked myself “how can I write about myself?” I thought that because at this point in my studies I haven't done it yet. It really made me think about who I am. Physically, I have red hair, I am tall and tall. Some groups I associate with are athletes, academics, and my family. I'm interested in many things like politics and reading. My personality is described as happy, fun, intelligent, loving and caring. I also have a few things I'm passionate about like education, science, independence, and friends. I also define myself by my work where I would describe myself as hardworking, progressive and patient. So, twenty words to describe me are: ginger, tall, tall, athletic, academic, family-friendly, political, strong, happy, fun, smart, loving, caring, educational, scientific, independent, friends, hard-working, progressive, and patient. So this is who I am. Although some of these words are more important than others, the least important are redhead, big, tall, strong and athletic. It's hard to say what I would look like if my physical stature was different, maybe I would have a smaller personality or maybe I would have more confidence. If I wasn't athletic, I think I would be a different person. This is due to the relationships and culture of participating in athletics, it is truly unlike any other experience in my life. The next five words I would remember are science, education, smart, progressive and political. Science has had an impact on my life. I spent days of my life reading scientific material and it was something that stuck with me. I have lived my life differently because of the ideas and theories in scientific and philosophical books. Additionally, education is an important part of my life, coming from a family of educators, I was always taught the importance of education and lived my life accordingly. Then I described myself as progressive. I'm progressive because I like to stay one step ahead of life. I sometimes went out of my way to go the extra mile to get ahead, which affected my life. Intelligence has given me the ability to succeed at this point in my life, even though I realize how little intelligence matters. Finally, I am political. I have to say that having this trait has sometimes strained relationships.
