Controversial Science: Global Climate ChangeClimate change has become a very sensitive topic for many scientists around the world. Some people believe that climate change and global warming are simply myths for the gullible, that humans have no impact on the way our environment is changing. On the other hand, it is also said that 97% of newspapers taking sides on human-caused global climate change agree that it is happening (Wayne). Many people read the evidence and can clearly see that humans are causing not only accelerating climate change, but also many changes in our environment. Climate change is the change in Earth's climate patterns that causes the atmosphere to become warmer known in the 20th century. Scientists have been studying climate change on Earth for many years. One organization that shows research on this topic is NOAA. NOAA (National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration) found that the period 2000 to 2010 was the hottest decade ever recorded in history for the entire globe (Chiras). And other studies show that the average surface temperature of the planet has increased by about 0.5 to 1.0°F (Stanford). Another surefire way to prove climate change is the melting of the polar ice caps, obviously caused by a sudden increase in temperatures. This is an important piece of evidence in this case. The ice doesn't just melt on command for no apparent reason, it must be caused by global warming and changing weather patterns. Many people spend their careers finding evidence like this to prove to people around the world that climate change is affected by humans and can be helped. Many nations and communities have started to reforest wildlife and many more need to step up and do the same in order to truly make a difference (Chiras). Climate change is an intense topic in the scientific community and humans are a major player. part of the problems we have. There are melting ice caps, greenhouse gases and many other problems that we could have solved sooner. We could reforest our communities and reduce our consumption of fossil fuels to improve the situation and try to reduce it. Although there are some skeptics on the subject, it is clear that humans are a large part of the problem. Over time, if people accept change and help, climate change can decrease.
