    An emerging problem is one that has emerged in recent years. Water scarcity is not something most people in developed countries think about. People in developed countries use thousands of gallons of water every day without even thinking about it. This is because it is cheap and easily available. It's a completely different story in developing countries where people have to walk miles to get a drop of water. The inhabitants of these unfortunate countries use very little water on a daily basis because for them water is sacred. The truth is that the lack of clean fresh water is one of those problems that has now become a real problem not only in developing countries but also in superpowers, such as the United States of America. Description/History: Water scarcity is both natural and human. -phenomenon created. There is enough fresh water on the planet for seven billion people, but it is unevenly distributed and too much of it is wasted, polluted and managed unsustainably. (The United Nations). I repeat, water shortage or water shortages have always been a problem, but in recent years, more and more cases have appeared in some areas and water shortages have become worse. People living in deserts, like people in the Sahara and Mojave, are facing the worst droughts on record. It's not just people who live in the desert who suffer from water stress, but almost anywhere there is a large population. The Great Plains of the United States are on the verge of a crisis as the Ogallala Aquifer is being depleted at an alarming rate.
