Astronomy and cosmology have always been interesting subjects for me since I was little. The two units preceding this one were somewhat new to me but were not filled with a colossal amount of information. When we came to this unit, I thought it would be a review of what I already knew about space, but in reality it was about much more than just planets and stars. My knowledge and view of the universe changed dramatically after learning various concepts such as the main sequence, cosmic microwave black body radiation, and red or blue shifts. From this I learned that what is happening here on Earth is nothing compared to what is happening in the far reaches of space. There is so much going on in our universe and it makes me even more optimistic about whether one day humans will be lucky enough to be able to travel long distances to see it all with our own eyes. What we've learned over the past few weeks about the universe ranges from something that can be considered general knowledge on this subject to things that we can say....
