Nikki Giovanni was born in Tennessee at a time when racial segregation was at its peak. She was a talented writer who expressed her vision of the world around her through texts. His affinity with the civil rights movement was a key factor in defining his voice and fleshing out his literary prowess. She has not only been an inspiration behind the keyboard, but also in the public eye as she has attended countless conferences to pass on her experience to today's youth. Although Nikki Giovanni lived, this love they had was sacred, it was what kept them grounded in hope for a better future. Believing that something so beautiful could exist in a world that shunned them brought happiness to this desolate world.
