    Let's say there are two people, one white and the other black, who are both applying for the same job. Now suppose the black candidate is more qualified than the white candidate, but the white candidate gets the job. It is a form of racism and stereotyping. These types of stereotypes are used more often than most people realize. There are employers who consider hiring an African-American to be bad for their business. By thinking this way, many people never get the job they want. Stereotypes have a negative effect on the ability of individuals to obtain the jobs they hold.
