Thesis Statement: In this article, the depths of the impressionable mind of a child will be explored. It will include discussion and possible explanations of why children have criminal or deviant mindsets, popular traits and characteristics of children who will likely succumb to criminal behavior later in life, and crimes that children may already commit as well as how this behavior escalates.IntroductionChildren, without a doubt, have some of the most innocent and tolerant minds and personalities on the planet. However, they can also have the most sinister ones. An important factor in criminal psychology is analyzing the origin of criminal patterns, behaviors and thoughts. By tracing deviant behaviors back to their starting point, psychologists can identify common causes and similarities in criminal histories. Adolescents' childhood experiences, along with biological factors, can significantly shape a child's future psyche. The History of Criminal Psychology Relating to Children Criminal psychology is the study of criminal patterns and behaviors and the reasons why criminals act as they do. Although children are presented as a picture of innocence, many cases of violence revolve around adolescents. What drives a child to commit such acts, despite the known consequences? The debate has been heated for centuries. Some believe that for a child to act this way, they must have a biological deficiency. However, some argue that any child can become a cold-blooded killer, given the trigger, and that deviousness in children is the result of how they are raised and raised, not how they biological constitution.
