    Multiple Personality Disorder (MPD): Have you ever sat and dreamed, or lost yourself in a book or work? After you finish the book or your work, you come back to earth and remember what happened while you were dreaming or lost in that book or work. With someone with MPD, this is not so easy to do for most. Most people with MPD don't remember anything that happened in the hours or minutes after the event. Some believe that MPD is a hoax created by films such as "Three Faces of Eve" or "Sybil", but is this a fact. MPD is a mental health disorder in which a person has an altered personality. MPD has been variously called split personality. to what is known in this century as dissociative identity disorder (DID). When you search for all categories associated with MDP, they always calculate in MPD. MPD is a mental illness or disorder caused by abuse. Abuse can be emotional, mental or physical. The abuse may come from someone the individual knows or from someone who kidnapped them. To deal with abuse, a person will create a different personality that will endure all the pain and abuse they feel or see. Alters can have different ages, likes and dislikes, names, races and genders. Millions of people think MPD doesn't exist. Including GL, 25, seeking help for some issues, therapist GL proved her wrong about MPD by diagnosing her with MPD. Like most GL MDPs, she thought she was crazy and even had suicidal thoughts. Not knowing what was happening, she finally decided to seek professional help. She discovered she had six other alters, five females and one male.
