As we struggle to uphold our own sense of morality and high ethical standards, we also forget that upholding such values and upholding a strong sense of character ; we sometimes fail to realize how important ethics are at professional and academic levels. The problem people may have is distinguishing what they believe to be right while others may view that same idea as something wrong. When it comes to professional ethics, this can be seen as a way to manage a moral situation that an individual faces in relation to other professional colleagues and even their conduct in the workplace. Academically, this is similar to professional ethics, but it leans toward the moral decision that students and faculty members face when doing the right thing. Although academic ethics and professional ethics play out differently depending on how each is managed, they are nonetheless both extremely important building blocks of a person's moral character and trustworthiness. Maintaining a good moral sense of ethics in an academic setting may seem less stressful than ethics. the stress one would experience in a professional setting, but staying on that direct path regarding certain rules is something that many academic institutions try to ingrain in the minds of every student who attends them.
