  • Essay / Character Analysis of Hedda Gabler by Henrik Ibsen

Instead of taking responsibility for her own mistakes in life, she decides to exploit everyone's faults and errors in order to control them. While other characters seem naturally drawn to her in a positive way, she uses this against them to attract power to her. To top it all off, she uses this power in such a reckless manner that she isn't even able to come to a positive conclusion on her own. The story ends with him cowardly exiting by committing suicide. Suicide should be viewed as soulless and not from a victim's perspective as she created her own problems from pure evil.
