Essay / Patient Dumping Persuasive Essay - 1138
During my career, I have seen many cases of homeless people going to the hospital or pharmacy to find a charity or to get help from doctors or pharmacists. Through my professional working in one of the pharmacies. I have encountered many of these cases where sick low-income or homeless people, especially in the winter, were asking for cough or flu medicine, through my morals and my profession. I tried to give donations or humanitarian aid to those who need it. My ethical value is to help people in times of need. Beneficence is therefore one of the important qualities that any doctor or pharmacist who infuses should possess. A smile or a handshake to the homeless person can give them hope and help make their day better. Back in Syria, I worked with a group of colleagues to collect medicines for blood pressure and diabetes, and donated them to associations that provide medicines to homeless people who suffer from these chronic illnesses. So, in my opinion, it is the right of every person, whatever their situation, to be able to benefit from the required treatment and to be fully treated.
