Slim feels excited and at the same time scared to finally finish and close this chapter of her life. When she finally confronts him, he tries to attack her, as she expected and that's when she shows him the new skills she's learned. Previously, Slim had learned to make the landscape appear to defend itself if something happened to it. At the end of the fight, Slim kills Mitch while defending himself and the police arrive when it's all over. She is reunited with her daughter and Slim can finally be free and continue his life without fear or worry of being abused by Mitch.
