Is sport hunting necessary to maintain balance in nature, or is it simply cruel? Does sport hunting actually affect anything in our world or does it simply cause unnecessary pain and suffering to animals? The controversy over the legality or otherwise of sport hunting has been going on for a very long time. Both sides have extremely valid reasons why their opinion is correct, but this is an argument that will be completely settled or accepted. Sport hunting is profitable and entertaining for some, but it is also cruel and unethical for others and the animals who must suffer from it. Sport hunting has existed since the existence of the human race. Back then we needed it to survive and have a meal, but today that's not really the case anymore. People now tend to hunt so they can bring home a “trophy” or prize to hang on the wall and display. It is now very rarely used as a food source. It is usually simply sent to a taxidermy center to be stuffed and returned to the proud hunter. Some people argue that hunting helps control overpopulation and prevent disease, generate income for the economy, and reduce the risk of death or injury from hunting, while others argue that it does exactly that. the opposite. For some, hunting is a tradition or a way of life, while for others it is simply unethical. Both sides of the argument have very valid reasons why they chose a certain side, but hearing both sides it might be difficult to completely choose a side. It's an easy topic to approach from many different angles. The first view of the controversy states that sport hunting causes suffering, painful deaths for animals, causes imbalances in nature, destroys property and injures or kills hunters or...... middle of paper. .. to chase them as much as they want. This does not affect the population in any way. Natural habitats are modified to meet the needs of deer and achieve incredibly high populations. Overall, sport hunting has done many things for our world, both good and bad. Even though there is no way for us humans to hunt the deer to extinction or threat, it is still cruel and unfair that the animal must die in pain. Natural events take care of things by themselves and we as humans cannot change the environment. That's how it is and there's nothing we can do about it. Although it is still very unlikely that everyone will take the same side on this issue, perhaps one day we will reach a compromise on this controversial issue.
