IntroductionInternational marketing has changed the dimensions of sport. This is what has given the sport the increased attention it receives today. This is what allowed the globalization of sport, which made it so important in the world. This has benefited the sport in many ways. Among them is that the sport has spread around the world, which has allowed a number of diverse players to participate in professional leagues around the world, and even many countries to participate at international sporting events. This global nature of sports has allowed coaches, managers and athletes access to increased opportunities, which has resulted in greater competition, not only providing pleasure to sports fans, but also attracting many people watching sports. This has led to increased attention to sports management programs in schools, universities and colleges. Sport has also expanded its vast reach internationally: it is not only used as entertainment, but also as a tool to bring nations and people together. As you can see, the world of sports has grown significantly, and this growth only continues. This would never have happened without the globalization brought about by international marketing. First BodyInternational marketing has allowed the sport to spread across the world. More and more countries are starting to emerge in the sport. This has allowed people from all over the world to participate in sporting events; this is seen through the diversity of athletes participating in many professional leagues around the world. As discussed in class, sport is also used to tackle the most pressing problems in developing countries such as violence in Rio, and AIDS in Africa.
