It ensures that all forms of communications and messages are carefully linked together. At its most basic level, integrated marketing communications, or IMC as we'll call it, means integrating all promotional tools, so that they work together in harmony. The topics of Unit 5 are STP and IMC. Write a journal entry that answers the following question: How can you use social media to build your personal brand? What steps should you take to ensure the best possible outcome? Provide details, expected results, metrics and timeline for your personal branding efforts. Twice in the last six months I have purchased products after seeing them advertised on Facebook. The first was some exercise equipment that a trusted friend “liked”. The second item was about a one-size-fits-all beauty product. I liked both purchases and am glad I found them. I think advertising on Facebook is a good idea. You can build your brand like my first example. You can target groups on Facebook specific to your product. My friend who liked this exercise equipment is someone who goes to the gym every day. She has an amazing figure and works hard at it. So when she liked this product, I noticed it because I know she wouldn't like equipment that wasn't reputable. And thanks to the recommendation of her likes, I bought it for my younger sister. Word of mouth and recommendations from friends go a long way in building your brand. So, if I had my own product, I would join as many Facebook groups related to it. If the product was a security item, as an example, I would search for groups of security personnel, as well as any groups related to security issues and groups of locations where the security product might be used (car , plane, park, etc.). In addition to joining Facebook groups, I would have a blog that I would update daily. The routine would probably be blogging in the morning, Twitter at least once a day, Instagram once a day, and video blogs once a week. I would text customers about any sales, maybe once a month or every 3 weeks. Not texting too much or they might delete me. Nobody likes too many sales. I will also send an email every 2-3 weeks with safety and product information. I would include links to the webpage to purchase said security product with all communications. I would offer a 5 or 10% discount if they liked me on Facebook. I would offer a discount if they recommended my product to a friend and that friend purchased it from me. I would expect the result to be sales, hopefully many sales. The metrics I would use would be the traffic I receive on Facebook and the conversion rates. I would also look at the traffic numbers on Twitter and Instagram. I monitored how many times something was retweeted or posted to see if Twitter or Instagram was worth the time spent posting. I would probably also post contests and giveaways on Facebook. I see a lot of traffic on freebies.Keep in mind: this is just a sample.Get a personalized item now.
