    Some of the experiences we have stay with us. They never leave and we remember them like it was yesterday. Some actually impact our lives, and others are just… there. My mother had recently started making jokes about how she was taking me to live with her again. For example, I'd be Virginia visiting over the summer and she'd be like, "Tray, do you want to drive by your new school?" I mean, she knew how much I loved the man and woman I lived with…and how much it would hurt me if I had to leave. How could she do this to me? It was August 30, 2013, the worst day of my life. The sun was shining very brightly, just for me, it seemed. It was my fifth day as a freshman at West Craven High School; I got off the bus and was standing at the end of my driveway waiting for JA and Diamond, we all grew up together.
