    Pearl Harbor continues with books and even in films from generation to generation. The United States suffered defeat at Pearl Harbor, but united to pursue victory. The film remains extremely faithful to the story of Pearl Harbor compared to Prange's book. They both show that the United States was extremely confident and narrow-minded about the Japanese ability to accomplish such a task. Much of the film focuses on Japan before the attack. The book of Prange and the directors of Tora! Torah! Torah! focused on the meticulous account of the events leading up to the attack. The work of the US Army on Oahu, Hawaii is also developed in great detail. The film does a great job of reflecting this and showing the ultimate consequence that was paid by the US military. Prange's book and the film actually end with two separate endings. Prange's book assesses the aftermath of Pearl Harbor with "History's Verdict." The Torah! Torah! Torah! The film had a brilliant ending with Yamamoto's famous quote: I fear that all we have done is rouse a sleeping giant and fill him with terrible determination, is sure to sow the future ยป.
