There are several different types of hunting and many of them require the same set of skills. Hunting is an exciting hobby, but it's also one that many people know little about. Coyote hunting is one of the fastest growing genres of hunting that requires a variety of skills. Calling coyotes with the right calls and their proper use adds extra excitement during the hunting experience. One of the most popular calls available is the one used with the mouth. These are the most popular because they are cheap and give good results if used correctly. Mouth-blown calls are also very easy to transport and there are a wide variety to choose from. Another reason these calls are preferred over electronic calls is that an experienced hunter is able to change the volume, frequency and tone of the call (Coyote Hunting). Hunters also enjoy the satisfaction of knowing that their experience and skills are the reason they were successful in their coyote pursuit. A disadvantage of a mouth-blown call is that there are a limited number of sounds for each call. While blowing on the call, the person may need to move around. In colder weather, some calls may freeze, preventing you from making a call, and there is a minimum skill level to make the appropriate call and benefit from it (Coyote Hunting). A type of mouth-blown call is called a howler. Some coyote hunters do not use howlers, but should consider them because they can increase their mortality rate. Some advantages of howlers are that they are easy to make and homemade calls use less lung power to produce a call rather than store bought ones (Coyote Hunting).
