    After graduation, I accepted the post of graduate in training at Coca-Cola Nepal out of curiosity. Little did I know then that this work would help me understand what I really want for myself. Working at Coca-Cola gave me many opportunities to understand the management and functioning of multinational companies. However, I always found myself looking for challenges in the field of management that were more intellectual than managerial. Having realized that I might be a good candidate for an academic career, I accepted the position of Visiting Professor of Statistics at Thames International College in Kathmandu. Working with students, sparking their intellectual curiosity, and helping them grow academically has been an incredible experience and I plan to continue this in the future. I therefore wish to pursue my interest in management but in an academic framework by obtaining a doctorate. degree from IESE with a specialization in economics and financial management. During my undergraduate studies at Smith College, I equipped myself with various theoretical courses in economics and econometrics. At the same time, I also focused on rigorous mathematics and statistics courses. After realizing the importance of empirical tools in economic research, I enrolled in the prestigious and challenging general courses program at the London School of Economics (LSE), where I took courses in econometrics and mathematical statistics advanced evidence-based. Therefore, through the courses I took during my undergraduate years, I gained a strong analytical and quantitative background required to successfully complete a Ph.D. candidate in management at IESE Business School.While learning the techniques, I also dedicated my time to undertake various research projects in b...... middle of paper ......this will definitely provide a stimulating academic environment. Therefore, I firmly believe that IESE will provide an ideal climate to facilitate my personal development as an academic researcher. I am aware of the perseverance, commitment and resilience demonstrated by the Ph.D. program at the request of IESE. During my academic career at Smith College, while balancing a rigorous course load, residential staff work, internship, and leadership positions, I also learned to manage my time while maintaining a high level of productivity and engagement. I thrive in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment, a quality that has been tested and proven as a student. In addition, economic research and a career as a professor attract me and I enjoy the challenges they offer. Thus, I am convinced that my motivation and my skills make me an ideal candidate for a doctorate. in management at IESE.
