The intent of this rationale is to discuss the value of implementing global education in the Society Senior Study Work school society. Therefore, this rationale will describe the direction of the curriculum initiative, address its significance, demonstrate how to implement the initiative in the study of society, and why senior students would find it interesting and useful. To address these areas, the rationale will build on the initiative itself and apply the initiative to the corporation's senior curriculum (Queensland Board of Senior High School Studies [QBSSSS], 2000) and the Declaration of Melbourne on educational goals for young Australians (Ministerial). Global education is an initiative that encourages the development and promotion of attitudes and skills necessary to value and protect the world's people and the environment. This involves examining and understanding global issues (such as climate change, genocide, conflict and famine), history and cultural diversity. The world we live in is constantly changing and challenges the views and knowledge of the past. It is becoming more and more interconnected and interdependent. This is clear from a review of trade policy, travel and tourism trends, internet accessibility and global REF policy. We live in a global world that transcends boundaries that extend beyond local and national communities. Broader in scope, the initiative provides a framework focused on peace, diversity and sustainability. The focus on global education is closely linked to the company's global curriculum goals.
