Many people who do not know the consequences of selling and the kind of life they have to live afterwards, send their daughters to strangers, or sometimes even them marry with the hope of getting rid of the chronic poverty that has brought them to their knees, without knowing the gravity of the atrocities for which they sent their children. After successfully seducing and convincing the heads of families, traffickers exchange women to various locations, including the city of Mumbai in India and sometimes to the Middle East as well. People have the impression that there are well-paying jobs in the Middle East. Therefore, many of them are enthusiastic about working abroad and are willing to take almost any risk to obtain employment in the Middle East labor market (Paul, Kanti, and Hasnath). All their hopes turn to despair when they are faced with the bitter reality of the purpose for which they were appointed. Some are sold in certain hot zones for sexual exploitation, others are transformed into servants or circus performers, while others are forced to work as child soldiers. Additionally, many families participate in this trade due to socio-economic conditions. factors such as inadequacy coupled with high unemployment rates and gender discrimination. Padam Simkhada says: “Many girls involved in sex work in Asia do so because they are forced into it by economic conditions and social inequality. Some voluntarily engage in sex work; others do so by force or deception, sometimes involving cross-border migration” (236). People in rural India and Nepal are so poor and jobless that they are willing to do anything to improve their economic situation, and it...... middle of paper .. ....the status of the country, as well as the socio-economic conditions of the population, only indicate that trafficking is increasing. Combating this inhumane industry will require a sincere and dedicated multinational effort, and this effort will require strict border security, respect for the rights of women and children, and a huge cultural shift that can only begin from of education. More and more effective awareness programs will need to be conducted, particularly in areas where trafficking is most likely to occur. The government and the public must participate in the fight against this heinous crime. It is not impossible that the number of victims will increase if the government does not make a strong commitment and if non-governmental organizations do not provide the world with more resources and if their commitment is concerted..
