Essay / How to Spend a Lazy Day - 766
Have you ever been so stressed that you had to step away for a few moments and close your eyes, pretending you were somewhere else entirely? There are many things in life that I look forward to. Through tedious tasks each day, I can't help but daydream about the things I would most rather be doing. Sometimes it can be as simple as enjoying a coffee ice cream shake. However, most of the time I fantasize about my favorite non-food items. A warm, sunny day with a gentle breeze. A picnic at my favorite stream. Long car trips with good music and a friend. While these are all fantastic ideas, I have to say that there is one daytime activity that I am an absolute expert at: the ultimate retreat: lazy day on the couch. Expertly planning a lazy day on the couch includes purchasing the necessary items, food and clothing. There are many elements to a perfect day. First, you need to have the necessary elements to make a lazy day just that – LAZY. These items include, but are not limited to, a wide assortment of movies and books. In order to fully anticipate a sloth's fluctuating moods and interests, there must be at least six movie genres. Action, romance, comedy, horror, suspense and mystery. Books should be varied, but not necessarily by genre. I usually like to have at least three of my favorite old standby books and two or three new books waiting to be read. Without these things, you run the risk of becoming bored and lazy, which isn't as fun as just being lazy. Extra blankets and beanbag pillows for the couch are a must. There is no wiggle room on this. Without soft pillows, the lazy day becomes an uncomfortable fiasco. I hope you are taking notes here....very im...... middle of paper......comfort is absolutely necessary. Slippers are an added bonus, but socks will do. Slipper socks are fabulous because they can be worn under the extra blankets. If you have long hair, it should be tied in a ponytail. Relaxation days are therapeutic and stress-relieving. Sometimes the only thing that gets me through a tough day is visualizing the next day of relaxation and happiness. I love nothing more than snuggling on the couch with my puppies and watching cheesy chick flicks. If you use the lazy day planner expert for items, food and clothes, you can experience the ultimate downtime happiness. These unproductive hours are sometimes more beneficial than therapy hours. Having time to de-stress and relax is something many people can rarely afford. But even if it's just a few hours, I highly recommend lazing around. A little time for yourself never hurt anyone. Take advantage.
