Essay / Analysis of the advertisement: a soft sell advertisement
Attract the publicFrom the way this advertisement is presented, it would be considered a soft sell. First of all, the idea behind a soft sell is that the brand is already established and, believe me, Disney is already a well-established company. There is so much happiness and positivity associated with Disney. It has been around for a long time and has grown exponentially around the world. Secondly, the picture mainly focuses on the image of the popular singer Taylor Swift, but she is not just an ordinary Taylor Swift. She is dressed and has the hair of Rapunzel the princess. It's about bringing two much-admired people together to make people want to be even more like them, and it suggests that Disneyland is where that dream can come to life. Finally, at the top left of the image it says "Where a world of adventure awaits." This statement doesn't really tell you anything about the product itself, how it's used, or even what to do with the product. It just suggests that a world of adventure awaits and that Disney Parks should and could be a part of that adventure. Additionally, the colors in the ad make it a bit dark and mysterious, but there is also Taylor Swift as Rapunzel in a beautiful purple dress with her long locks of hair shining in the light. Additionally, the white birds sitting peacefully next to her give the image a very calm and peaceful feel. It definitely appeals to a more emotional side. This commercial takes a popular music artist that many little girls admire and strive to be like, as well as a well-known princess that little girls also admire, and brings them together into one person. This has double the power to make these little girls want to be more like Rapunzel and Taylor Swift, to do...... middle of paper ...... and the absolutely genius idea that Disney imagineers have had is the Bibbidi Boutique Bobbidi. This is a store or rather a boutique where your little girls can transform into a princess and your little boys transform into prince charming. I mean, really, who wouldn't want to be a princess or prince charming, especially when your little one sees another child walking around and getting that special attention from everyone in the cast. Not only is this another way to improve your child's experience, but it's also another awesome way to bring in more money for the company, plus it turns into free advertising. Prices for makeovers range from a simple package at $54.95 to the full royal treatment at $194.95 and up (“Disneyland Resort | Welcome to the Magic,” 2014). That's even more money guests are spending to enhance their visit to the Disney parks..
