  • Essay / Indeed: The world is a better place today - 1064

People all over the world often wonder if they lived in a different time, if they would have lived better than fifty years ago or if the world today is just as appropriate, if not better, than that of fifty years ago. what it was fifty years ago. I am here to tell you that if you are one of those people asking the exact same question, you are better off today thanks to advances in modern education, technology, and medicine. Remarkable progress has been made in many areas all over the world over the past fifty years, and with this progress, the world has become ever-changing and serendipitous. First and foremost, technology is becoming more and more cutting edge and advancing every day. For fifty years, we now have color televisions, microwaves and power windows in our vehicles. These are only small improvements in scope. Computers, for example, were expensive and rare, they filled a small room, and you practically had to be a genius to figure out how to operate one. Nowadays, computers are common and complex to use. We use computers every day for mundane tasks, they are even part of our daily means of communication. We use computers to stay in touch with our friends, our loved ones, our loved ones stationed abroad, and we use them to our advantage to enrich ourselves with knowledge and the fundamentals of learning. Synonymous with our computers, the World Wide Web is available today. The Internet gives us access to more knowledge and learning than a single library could ever fill. Encyclopedias from A to Z at your fingertips. The Internet has not only made learning faster, but also easier and more exciting than learning from a boring video or listening to a lecture from a professor for an hour at a time. Internet...... middle of paper ...... all over the world are offering food pantries to those who unfortunately cannot buy for themselves. Everywhere, many organizations and more are dreamed up every day by people who want to help people. Among the many people who worry about crime and who have good faith are those who worry about the economy; the economy has its ups and downs, like many good things in life. It was only a little over fifty years ago that we experienced the Great Depression. We too will overcome the obstacles of life as those of this era did. We just have to have a little faith. People need to believe in the power of being positive and live day by day in hope of good things to come. In the many advances of everyone, technology, education and medicine, we are undoubtedly better off today than we were fifty years ago, and in fifty years they will be better off than we are..
