Essay / Macbeth vs. Polanski Analysis - 1184
In the Roman Polanski version of Macbeth, he begins a wonderful life as a highly recognized man in the army and is one of the king's favorites. Throughout this film, viewers can see a change in Macbeth's morale. At first Macbeth was a happy man and proud of his honor, then his change begins when he becomes angry with the king. A tragic hero by definition is a great character who falls into misfortune or failure. Macbeth shows this best by starting as a noble soldier in King Duncan's army as Thane of Cawdor, who then evolves into an ambitious king from the prophecies of the witches, being emasculated by his wife and hallucinations of mirrors.
