Atopic dermatitisA mother spends the night in the hospital with her six-month-old child for observation. After two exhausting days, they return home. The mother begins to notice a tumorous rash on the child's legs. Not knowing what to do or what the cause was, she continually took the child to the doctor to get relief from the irritation. The rash disappears for a while after many treatments, then reappears. Tired and frustrated, the mother asks the child's doctor if she could refer the child to the dermatologist. Perhaps there is finally a glimmer of hope. The mother follows through with the appointment only to learn that the child suffers from a hereditary skin allergy known as atopic dermatitis. It is a very common chronic skin disease, also known as allergy or skin sensitivity. The disease presents as a red, excessively dry, intensely itchy rash. Red spots occupy a large part of the skin surface, and in the folds they can crack and bleed. The word "dermatitis" refers to inflammation of the skin, and "atopic" means that it is hereditary, hereditary, familial and closely related. This disease is not life-threatening and is not contagious. Without the proper treatment, this incredibly itchy itch will only progress and can cause a lot of distress in one's life. The true cause of this disease remains to be determined. Although healthcare providers don't know what is to blame; they helped in finding ways to control the skin problem. They believe the environment, as well as many types of detergents, soaps, and bad weather contribute to the outbreak. Food allergens are major provoking factors. Researchers came to the conclusion that usually... middle of paper ...... you have a rash that appears out of nowhere and doesn't go away with simple treatment, just see the doctor. The least we can tell you is that it should be something simple that you came into contact with and never have to worry about again. There is distinctly a difference on the outside for those who suffer from this allergy, even though on the inside we have essentially the same chemical makeup. You may experience a noticeable glare from time to time. Just keep in mind that people are more curious and would benefit more from knowledge than from a hateful insult. This condition is primarily a discomfort and can be alleviated with proper treatment. Works Cited Department of Dermatology, Hokkaido University Graduate School of Medicine, Sapporo, Japan 2008.
