Although a bright orange lights up the sky, the less intense colors help create the beauty of the event. This representation describes American culture. There may be one predominant tradition, but there are also other traditions that help make this nation beautiful. As part of a diverse nation, Texas is home to many races, heritages, religions and traditions. However, Christianity predominates among the others. As much as America is founded on Judeo-Christian morals and ideologies, we, as citizens of Texas, are expected to adhere to this predominant way of life, according to the Republican Party of Texas. The state Republican Party's Judeo-Christian concept of traditional values limits our individual rights as citizens of Texas. Traditional values are those in which we are considered "righteous" according to the Church's definition, and private individual rights are those we exercise in our private lives. In such a diverse nation, predominant traditions cannot rule over minor traditions. We would not be considered a free country if this were to happen. After all, removing minor traditions would take away the beauty of our culture. The 2010 state Republican Party platform states: "We support school subjects with an emphasis on the Judeo-Christian principles (including the Ten Commandments) on which America has been founded. founded and which constitute the basis of the American legal, political and economic systems..." As we evolve, we are developing a more open society in which it is acceptable to maintain one's own. subculture. The problem is not about having different beliefs, rather it is about finding common ground on which we as citizens of Texas should be able to maintain. our own religious beliefs, traditions and lifestyles We should be able to represent who we are openly, without criticism.
