    There are many people who influence our lives over time, but fewer of them matter more than the individual hero. Growing up, my friends and I idolized star athletes and movie stars, simply because we wanted to be a part of them. As time went on and I got older, I discovered what a true hero was. My father seemed to fit that title well. My father has all the qualities necessary to be a heroic individual. From teaching me how to play sports to teaching me the ropes of being a man, he has impacted every aspect of my life. I believe that a hero is someone who can have a great influence on a person or society as a whole. When I was a child, my father introduced me to football and I ended up falling in love with it. He always emphasizes the importance of following my dreams and never giving up on anything, no matter how difficult the situation.
