    A research paper is a type of academic writing that requires a more theoretical, meaningful and methodical level of questions. Although a research paper is a type of dissertation, some dissertations do not require academic research. Not all research articles can be considered dissertations. A goal of writing a research paper is to allow people to read the work selectively.
