Social media requires workers to reframe their perceptions of privacy, confidentiality, and professional boundaries, and has challenged us to innovate with new, ethically sound ways to serve customers and constituents. With the advent and popularity of social networking sites, the boundaries of the relationship between the employer and the employee/potential employee extend far beyond the workplace and working hours. As expected, this expansion of relationships has led to unexplored contradictory scenarios between the respective parties. Unfortunately, in this dynamic new cyber world, employment law has struggled to gain deference and attention. Despite this apparent indifference, each phase of the relationship is strongly impacted by social networks. Recruitment of candidates, collection of information and selection of candidates may be impacted by social media communications made by employees or potential employees. This literature review examines a working professional's ethics, ethical behavior, and issues related to the use of social media during work hours, avoiding its misuse. In the modern world, it is common to use web technologies in the organization of youth communication. . In fact, they represent the new way of establishing communication, the tool for organizing communication. This change in the form of communication influences the content of the communication itself. These changes lead to a significant metamorphosis of the structure of society, impose imprints on behavioral norms and even change mentalities. “Internet” as a global information system forms cyberspace, creates cyberculture with its concepts, values, thoughts and language. It is today one of the main components of the information society. The ambiguity of the influence of social networks is the important issue of the modern world. Social media refers to Internet technology-based channels and platforms for communication and content sharing among users. The main characteristics and differences of social media are: unlimited interactive communications; directly involve users in the generation and relay of multimedia content; a high degree of involvementin the process; maximum feedback speed; user personalization. Social media has become extremely popular in recent years. The emergence and effect of technology in society, including the workplace, is undeniable. Computers, the Internet, e-mail, and telephones are now essential elements of social contact as well as business; and their complexity and scope are constantly expanding. Besides the many types of people who use social media, there are many different types of social media to use, all of which can have good and bad ramifications in the workplace. Some of the major social media sites and networks are: LinkedIn is a social and networking site for professionals that was established in 2003 to provide professionals with access to networking, marketing, advertising and research opportunities of employment. Anyone can search for another person's online profile; and no password is required to search. The site may also offer specific job opportunities; and employers can review an individual's employment prospects. The site has more than 70 million users worldwide in more than 200 countries, according to recorded data. Social media has completely transformed the lives of many people. In particular, social media has significantly changed the way people communicate. Social media provides people with simple, easy-to-use ways to stay in touch with family, friends, colleagues and work colleagues, including the ability to quickly share information and comments. Today, businesses also take advantage of social media for marketing, management and human resources purposes. Furthermore, the concept of the “workplace” has expanded with the advent of technology and especially the existence of “teleworking”.
