Chapter 1 – Introduction 1.1 BACKGROUND OF THE STUDY The researcher chose a topic of staying in a better hostel among the education students under KPTMKL influence because the researcher believes that this topic is very important as a brighter hostel student than the one who lives outside the inn. Hostels help significantly in influencing students in terms of education compared to staying outside because hostels have many regulations that need to be followed by students in order to further discipline the student in every aspect . Moreover, the hostel is a place where economical, healthy and safe accommodation is provided to college students. Many students live in hostels. There are students who come from another city to continue their studies. Generally, hostels are meant for such students, even students from the same city are opting for a hostel boot recently. There they lead a life different from their life at home. Hostel life teaches you other things like teamwork, helping your roommates, a sense of unity and adaptation. Most students at KPTM Kuala Lumpur prefer to live in a hostel rather than a hostel, which has some influence on the quality of their education. 1.2 PROBLEM STATEMENT The researcher also found out many problems which will arise if the students do not occupy a hostel prepared by the university. Among them, students will easily fall into unhealthy symptoms if they are not smart to adapt to their environment compared to those living in a household bound to the rules set by the university and managed by the principal. Then accommodation also played a very important role in becoming an excellent student.
