Due to today's busy lifestyles, the emotional distance between people has widened. Some people are unable to expand their community circles or meet new people of the opposite sex due to their nature or work, so they seek non-traditional methods of meeting new people. One of these methods is the use of the Internet. Dating on online dating sites and becoming integrated into the dating capacity has become quite accepted these days. Discovery is conducted alongside online questionnaires; of those distributed, 302 valid examples were returned. The main study method was to distribute the examples through a stepwise linear regression analysis. Focusing on why people give during Internet blind dating, this finding examines theories on relationship needs, personality characteristics, sensation-seeking motivation, and self-disclosure people involved; and develop a framework for understanding what type of people use the ability to date as a way to meet others. The implications of the discovery show that interpersonal needs and self-disclosure play a role in why one should desire to abandon blind dating. Additionally, there is a definite connection between personality characteristics and the desire to give in blindly. People who pursue people are therefore more likely than others to give in to blind dates.
