Essay / Acceptance in The Clod and the Pebble by William Blake
Love comes in all forms, whether it's living under the feet of cattle or living in a beautiful stream. The theme of William Blake's "The Clod and the Pebble" is depicted through completely unique imagery, impressive word choice, and extraordinary relationships. This eccentric poem by William Blake talks about the different lives of a very simple clod and a pebble in which two opposing worlds live. The way he begins this poem can be very misleading until the second stanza, here it begins to tell us what it is really about. William Blake then explains to us the two lives of these two very different souls. The theme of "The Clod and the Pebble" is about accepting your life no matter where you live or travel and not being that person who has a great life but is always complaining. The theme is represented through very unique imagery with the extreme exhilarating choice of words that this poet has carefully chosen to make this entire poem flow like a stream in midsummer with an incredible number of trout in it. sparkling blue water. When he introduces us to this lump of clay who lives a horrible life, but through it all, he finds a glimmer of hope through it all. This little lump of clay lives under the feet of livestock and gets trampled all the time. Although he is trampled on ninety percent of his life, he finds the positive side of it all. He says, “trampled under the feet of cattle,” which would be one of the worst things that could happen in the world, and yet this lump of clay manages to find the best of his life under the feet of the cows. Considering this, the first stanza sort of gives you a summary of what is going to be told about the lump of clay. To simply explain what William Blake said in the first stanza is that love is not...... middle of paper ... four stanzas in this poem with four lines in each stanza. This helps with the theme because they tell us about the two people in life and it teaches us to be happy and not a grumpy old man. When you read this, we hope you see the difference between these two characters, because some of them didn't. As you read this essay, we hope you have kept everything in mind because we certainly will. Love comes in all forms, whether it's living under the feet of cattle or living in a beautiful stream. It has nothing to do with how you can live your life while living in the worst conditions or living in the best conditions. It means how great your attitude about it is despite the conditions we are in or even when you just go to school because let's say there is a teacher you don't like, be happy and lucky and do what he asks, then you will do it. I really like them.
