LGBT protection policies are legitimate enough to try to abolish bullying and discrimination against LGBT students, but that is not the only thing that can be done. GSA clubs have proven to be essential to a healthier school environment. “Schools with GSAs report feeling less isolated, demonstrate a greater willingness to become involved in school and community activities, have more positive social relationships, and demonstrate increased academic motivation” (Currie) . Implementing LGBT-related material into the school curriculum is also a really good way to bring the whole school together and educate them about sexual orientation. Some poorly informed students tend to react violently because they simply don't understand the subject. So, if a student does not understand why his classmate is homosexual, he will act aggressively towards him by intimidating or harassing him. These three actions undertaken to try to abolish harassment against young LGBT people, I think it is enough. Schools have done everything they can to try to ensure a safe environment not only for LGBT students but for all students.
