These analytical and numerical approaches have been observed to provide satisfactory predictions of wall heat flux on conventional simple radiator configurations (flat plate, cylinder, spheres, etc.). However, significant discrepancies were observed between predictions obtained from these mechanistic models and experimental observations involving radiators with nanostructured surfaces. Therefore, this study focuses on the parametric exploration of pool boiling phenomena on a flat plate radiator involving both conventional and nanostructured radiators. The scope of this study is focused on monitoring bubble starting diameter and bubble starting frequency for different segments of the boiling curve (i.e. boiling heat flux expressed as function of the overheating of the walls and the subcooling of the liquid).
