The Tradesmen of FeudalismIn the Middle Ages, people were born into different classes. Whatever class a person was born into, that class would determine their life and destiny. It would generally be the same for everyone else in that class (if they didn't catch a disease or something). But the people I'm talking about are the traders. They worked hard part of the time, and the rest of their time they traveled and traded goods "across the world" (just around Europe). They had very little free time, so they spent very little time with friends and family. Again, this was for a regular rank artisan. “Rich and powerful” (higher-ranking) merchants had a lot of free time and spent it mostly with family and friends, while they sent “servants” to do some of the work for them. The top-ranked traders also received much better education than most other traders of the time (those with regular rankings). But the type of education they received was not the same....
