African Journal of Marketing Management, 1 (6), 133-139. Problem In Malaysia, there were often complaints that employees were not as loyal as before. Employees would tend to leave their company for slightly better pay due to low engagement. Therefore, the biggest challenge for Malaysian organizations was to foster a sense of commitment and loyalty to their employees. Comments - The problem statements matched the title and appeared to have educational significance. The problem was clearly visible to the average reader. Objective The objective of this study was to examine the leadership style and organizational commitment of employees in the Malaysian context. Two types of leadership styles, namely transformational and transactional leadership styles, were chosen as the research focus to study the impact on organizational commitment. Comments - The objective was stated clearly and concisely, the title was accepted and limited to the abilities and resources of the researcher. The aim was to address the problem.ObjectivesSpecifically, the study sought to determine whether leadership theory and organizational commitment were applicable in manufacturing companies located in Malaysia.
